Corbeille (à pain)

While once bearing the name of some long-forgotten nobleman who originally established the settlement, the old nickname “Corbeille à pain” (often itself shortened to just Corbeille) over time replaced it, becoming so well-used that no one even remembered the city’s ‘real’ name. As the nickname implies, this is the Imardin’s primary agricultural region, responsible for virtually all of the crops produced domestically.
