The Elves are not native to the continent of Voreld and instead originate from a continent to the East, named Quellam. Little is known about Quellam, although it is said that the Elves share it with large monsters which led to the Elves taking up residence in giant trees found on the continent. Elves on Voreld tend to live slightly longer than humans, around 80 to 90 years, although reportedly they live longer in Quellam. It has also been observed that the generations of Elves born on Voreld have gradually gotten shorter and weaker, especially those enslaved by the Orcs, meaning most are a similar height to most humans, while some of the first Quellamese Elves were said to be around 7 feet tall.

Quellamese Elves first began to emerge on the eastern shores of Kurnheulde a year before the volcano Kresh Garuul erupted and ended the First Era and saw increased emigration in the Second Era. The reasons for which are generally unknown. The Orcish tribes began to blame the Elves for their troubles which is where the animosity between the two races originated.

Most Elves are still found in Kurnheulde and, while there may be multiple languages in Quellam, Elves are referred to as speaking Elvish, although it is common to find Elves in Voreld with little knowledge of Elvish due to the time since the first Quellamese Elves landed on Voreld.
