Ganoltir is home to four known races. The three original races of the continent of Voreld; the humans, the dwarves and the orcs. As well as the elves of the eastern continent of Quellam.

While interbreeding of races is possible, it is usually frowned upon. Because of this, most half-breeds are born as bastards resulting from lascivious affairs. The most common are children from either humans and dwarves or humans and elves, but more exotic variants exist such as the unlucky elf-orc. Half-breeds are, without exception, born sterile and incapable of reproducing.
